Happy Fourth of July!

Fireworks in the backyard. Miles did a great job!
We had a great time, although we did have some serious problems. Mike had a seizure, which is probably from his drinking over the weekend. He wanted us to take him to the hospital, but we knew they couldn't do any good for him and he would just run up more medical bills.
And Kayla was announced to everyone that if it weren't for her, I would be homeless. All her friends laughed, but it really hurt me.
The day was so hot, I couldn't even go to the parade, and the kids had to come home early from it. But they all had fun and came home with face paintings.

Aja had her face painted with a red, white, and blue heart. She looked so cute.

Lynzi got a muscle painting of the same thing.

And of course, Dylan got a "muscle" painting that he was so proud of. What a little "macho man" he is!
Kayla and Miles put up a net and the kids all took lessons. Here's Dylan trying to return a serve.

We filled up the kids' pool, and Larry grabbed Dylan and threatened to dunk him head-first. Dylan was NOT amused!
The gang relaxes before starting the BBQ.
